How to use JSON to YAML

  1. Paste one valid JSON value. Quote numeric identifiers that need exact digits.
  2. Run the converter to produce normalized YAML.
  3. Copy or download YAML; comments cannot be recovered from JSON.

How this tool handles your input

The bundled YAML serializer runs in a worker. JSON objects, arrays and scalar values become YAML data.

JSON parsing uses JavaScript numbers; unsafe integers are rejected. Duplicate keys follow JSON.parse last-value behavior. Comments are not preserved.

Example: {"name":"demo","enabled":true} → name: demo; enabled: true

Privacy and browser support

Your input is handled in this browser tab. Selected files and entered text are not sent to Varento Tools by this tool. Some specialized libraries load only when needed. A browser with JavaScript and sufficient device memory is required. Read our local-processing explanation.
