What changes and what stays
Choose exact matching or ignore letter case. Optional trimming lets leading and trailing spaces be ignored; the first original line is retained in the output. Blank lines follow the same duplicate rule.
Line endings are normalized to LF. Case-insensitive comparison uses Unicode lowercase conversion, not language-specific equivalence.
