How to use Text to Binary / Binary to Text
- Paste text or a binary byte sequence.
- Choose Encode or Decode.
- Convert and copy the result.
Encoding and preview behavior
Each output group contains eight bits for one UTF-8 byte. Non-ASCII characters can occupy several bytes. Decoding accepts whitespace-separated groups or one continuous bit string whose length is divisible by eight.
Invalid binary characters, incomplete bytes and malformed UTF-8 are rejected. This is UTF-8 byte encoding, not Unicode code-point notation or encryption.
Example: an accented letter uses two UTF-8 bytes
Select Encode and enter é. The result is two eight-bit groups, not a single ASCII character code. Select Decode to reverse the conversion.

11000011 10101001Common questions and errors
Why does an emoji produce four groups?
A UTF-8 byte uses eight bits, while a Unicode code point can need several bytes. For example, 😀 becomes 11110000 10011111 10011000 10000000.
Why will my binary not decode?
Each byte needs eight binary digits. The complete byte sequence must also be valid UTF-8; arbitrary bytes or a partial multi-byte character are rejected.
Is binary conversion encryption?
No. Binary is a representation of bytes and provides no secrecy. Anyone can decode it when the encoding is known.

Privacy and browser support
Your input is handled in this browser tab. Selected files and entered text are not sent to Varento Tools by this tool. Some specialized libraries load only when needed. A browser with JavaScript and sufficient device memory is required. Read our local-processing explanation.

Frequently asked questions
Is this tool free without daily usage limits?
Yes. Varento Tools has no signup, accounts, usage-count caps, paywalls or watermarks. Device memory, format support and browser restrictions can still limit technically demanding files.
Why does an emoji produce several binary groups?
UTF-8 encodes many symbols using multiple bytes. One displayed character is not necessarily one eight-bit group.
Is my input uploaded?
No. This utility processes input in the current browser tab. The tool code does not upload your files, tokens or text to a processing API.
What limitations should I know?
Invalid binary characters, incomplete bytes and malformed UTF-8 are rejected. This is UTF-8 byte encoding, not Unicode code-point notation or encryption.
