What changes and what stays
The main character count uses Unicode code points rather than JavaScript UTF-16 code units. A separate total excludes whitespace. UTF-8 bytes help when a system limits storage rather than visible characters.
A visual symbol can contain several code points, such as a family emoji or a letter with a combining accent. Check the destination system’s counting rule.

Is this tool free without daily usage limits?
Yes. Varento Tools has no signup, accounts, usage-count caps, paywalls or watermarks. Device memory, format support and browser restrictions can still limit technically demanding files.
Why can an emoji count as more than one character?
Some displayed emoji combine several Unicode code points, variation selectors or joined symbols. The code-point count intentionally differs from a count of visible glyphs.
