PNG embedding without a JPEG conversion
PNG graphics can contain fine text, sharp edges and transparent pixels. This converter embeds PNG data through the PDF library instead of first turning it into a lossy JPEG. Each source image becomes a separate PDF page. Source PNG pixels are not deliberately resampled by the converter.
For fixed paper sizes, the image is scaled to fit inside the margins without stretching or cropping. Transparent pixels reveal the PDF page background, which most viewers display as white. Image-sized pages use the original proportions; PDF page units are not a claim about the source’s print DPI metadata.
A larger PDF is not necessarily a failure, because the PDF includes page structure as well as image data. This is not OCR and does not create selectable text from a PNG screenshot or scan. Animated PNG content is not supported as a PDF animation. Keep your originals and check layout before printing or submitting the document.

Frequently asked questions
Is this tool free without daily usage limits?
Yes. Varento Tools has no signup, accounts, usage-count caps, paywalls or watermarks. Device memory, format support and browser restrictions can still limit technically demanding files.
Does it convert PNG to JPEG first?
No. PNG images are embedded through the PDF library rather than intentionally recompressed as JPEG.
What happens to transparency?
The embedded PNG can retain transparency; viewers usually show the page behind it as white.
Can I combine multiple PNGs?
Yes. Reorder the selected files and create a multipage PDF.
Will screenshot text become selectable?
No. It remains image content. This converter does not perform optical character recognition.
