How to rotate PDF pages

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Select the clockwise rotation angle.
  3. Leave Pages blank to rotate all pages, or enter ranges such as 2, 4-6.
  4. Rotate and download the PDF, then check it in your viewer.

Save page rotation into the document

Some PDF viewers rotate a page only on screen. This tool writes page rotation into a new PDF so another viewer can use the saved orientation. It adds the selected angle to the page’s existing rotation instead of simply resetting every page to the same absolute angle.

Use 90° or 270° for sideways pages and 180° for upside-down pages. The range field uses physical positions beginning at 1, not printed page labels. A PDF with a cover and Roman-numeral preface can have a different visible page label from its physical position.

The tool does not rasterize pages, perform OCR or rearrange them. Text remains text when it was text in the source. Saving a changed PDF can affect signatures and document-level features, so review important files. Password-protected or corrupted PDFs can fail to load. Local processing still requires memory for the source and output.

Privacy and browser support

Your input is handled in this browser tab. Selected files and entered text are not sent to Varento Tools by this tool. Some specialized libraries load only when needed. A browser with JavaScript and sufficient device memory is required. Read our local-processing explanation.

Frequently asked questions

Is this tool free without daily usage limits?

Yes. Varento Tools has no signup, accounts, usage-count caps, paywalls or watermarks. Device memory, format support and browser restrictions can still limit technically demanding files.

Can I rotate only one page?

Yes. Enter its page number, or use comma-separated ranges for several pages.

What happens if Pages is blank?

All pages receive the selected rotation.

Does rotation turn text into an image?

No. This operation updates PDF page rotation without rendering every page into a bitmap.

Does 90° mean clockwise?

Yes. The control labels specify clockwise angles; 270° clockwise is equivalent to 90° anticlockwise.
