Choose a PDF to split
Physical page numbers start at 1. Use comma-separated ranges.
How to split a PDF by page range
- Choose the PDF you want to split.
- Enter pages such as 1-3, 5. Page numbers start at 1.
- Create the new PDF containing those selected pages.
- Download and check the result. Use Extract PDF Pages for separate one-page files.
One selected range, one new PDF
This splitter collects the selected pages into one new document. It is useful for sharing a chapter, removing unneeded pages from a copy, or keeping only a section of a long report. The source file is not changed.
Separate ranges with commas. The tool rejects invalid or out-of-range page numbers rather than silently selecting the wrong pages. Repeated numbers are included once and pages are exported in source order. The range selector is based on physical PDF pages, which may differ from printed page labels such as Roman numerals.
Page copying does not promise preservation of document-level forms, bookmarks, accessibility tags, attachments or signatures. If you need a separate PDF for every chosen page, use Extract PDF Pages instead. Encrypted or damaged input may fail, and large documents still need device memory even though they are not uploaded.
Need a separate file for each chosen page? Use Extract PDF Pages.

Frequently asked questions
Is this tool free without daily usage limits?
Yes. Varento Tools has no signup, accounts, usage-count caps, paywalls or watermarks. Device memory, format support and browser restrictions can still limit technically demanding files.
Does Split make one file or several?
It makes one PDF containing the chosen pages. Extract PDF Pages makes separate one-page PDFs.
How do I enter several ranges?
Use commas, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. Numbers refer to physical page positions starting at 1.
Can I reorder pages with the range field?
No. Repeated entries are removed and selected pages are exported in source order.
Does it delete pages from my original?
No. It creates a new PDF and leaves the input file unchanged.
