How to add a signature to a PDF
- Choose a PDF and wait for its page preview.
- Draw a signature, type your name, or upload a JPG or PNG signature image.
- Choose a page and position the signature by dragging or entering coordinates.
- Review the page preview and download a new PDF.
A visible signature, with clear limits
This tool places an image of your signature on the selected page. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature, verify identity, or supply an audit trail. Check the receiving party’s requirements before relying on a signature image.
Your signature is placed relative to the displayed page. Left and top are measured in page points from the preview’s upper-left corner; width controls the signature size. The original PDF is not overwritten.
Encrypted or damaged PDFs may not open. Editing a previously signed PDF can invalidate its existing digital signatures. Other document features, including forms and annotations, need review after export. Keep the original and check the downloaded copy.
Privacy and browser support
Your input is handled in this browser tab. Selected files and entered text are not sent to Varento Tools by this tool. Some specialized libraries load only when needed. A browser with JavaScript and sufficient device memory is required. Read our local-processing explanation.

Is this tool free without daily usage limits?
Yes. Varento Tools has no signup, accounts, usage-count caps, paywalls or watermarks. Device memory, format support and browser restrictions can still limit technically demanding files.
Can I type my name instead of drawing?
Yes. A typed name becomes a signature image. You can also draw or upload a PNG or JPG.
Is this a certificate-based signature?
No. This utility adds a visible image and does not provide digital certificates or identity verification.
Can I sign a rotated page?
The preview follows the page rotation and maps the signature position back onto the PDF page.
Are signatures saved?
The tool does not send or save your signature on a Varento server. Clear the page when finished on a shared device.
